The Business Department provides opportunities for students to join a Business Club headquartered on each campus.

Events and Activities

MEETINGS: The Business Club has meetings and activities at both Middletown and Newburgh campuses.

Starting the second week of the semester the club will meet on the MIDDLETOWN Campus on Tuesdays in Harriman Hall, room 200 at 11 and in NEWBURGH on Thursdays at 11.

OFFICERS: Each semester the club members will elect officers. Any student may run for office. To be an officer a requirement is a commitment to attend meetings and contribute to the club. For returning students, club officers must have a CQPA of at least 2.0.

CLUB DAY: Every semester the Business Club participates in Club Day. This campus event is sponsored by the Student Activities Office and is designed to give clubs the opportunity to present their activities to students and get new members.

MOVIE NIGHT: Movie Night is a college activity that shows popular movies on a big screen and offers clubs the opportunity to sell snacks and earn money for the club.

Other suggestions for activities during the semester will be sought from club members.

GUEST SPEAKERS: Guest speakers are scheduled every semester. For the upcoming semster a speaker is planned who will discuss his entrepreneurial experiences in starting a business in Orange County. Another speaker will discuss approaches to marketing in today's business environment. A Human Resource expert will explain the real job of a Human Resource Manager and how you can optimize that information in your own job search. Other speakers are being considered.
