Family of Funds
The Educational Foundation has set up a number of funds for contributors to target their gift. Below is the name of each fund along with a description of its purpose.

Academic Equipment Fund
The purpose of the Academic Equipment Fund is to accommodate the increasing demand for its programs and maintain its reputation for excellence. To accomplish this task, Orange County Community College must provide instruction on up-to-date equipment on a continuous basis.
Athletics
Orange County Community College will begin offering for the fall 2001 semester up to 20 full tuition scholarships for students who participate in intercollegiate athletics. Recipients must be residents of Orange County and must be in good academic standing.
Distinguished Lecture Series
The Distinguished Lecture Series is designed to enhance the educational experience of both students and members of the community. For more than ten years, the Distinguished Lecture Series has brought to campus world-renowned speakers to help students, faculty, staff and members of the community to broaden their understanding of society.
Educational Garden Project
The Educational Garden Project is a collaborative project of the SUNY Orange Biology Department and Cornell Cooperative Extension's Master Gardeners Program. Donations toward this project will be used to purchase native shrubs and flowering plants. In addition, funds will be used to purchase equipment such as rain barrels, soaker hoses, and solar lights.
General Fund
Gifts to the General Fund enable the College to make funds available for unforeseen or unbudgeted needs. Although gifts of this nature tend to be less compelling, their importance to the mission of the college is paramount
Grant-in-Aid Fund
Gifts can be earmarked to the Educational Foundations Grant-In-Aid Fund. these funds are granted to students who do not qualify for other state or federally funded forms of financial aid but still demonstrate a financial need. These scholarships, a maximum award of $500 per academic year, can be used for tuition, fees, books or childcare.
Lyceum
Lyceum at Orange County Community College is under the direction of the Director of Student Life. The word "Lyceum" comes from the Ancient Greek language and refers to a place or forum for ideas and presentations. Each year, the College brings to campus a wide range of opportunities in music, dance, theater, arts, video, film, literature, and humanities for students, staff, faculty and the public-at-large to participate.
President's Scholarship Fund
The President's Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement is the only scholarship category at Orange County Community College that provides full-tuition for two years. This scholarship is awarded to students from Orange County high schools who are in the top 10% of their class or hold a cumulative grade point average of 90 or better and plan to enter Orange County Community College.
Scholarship Fund
Donors at the Morrison Club or President's Circle are eligible to name a scholarship. Donors can choose to award the full amount of the gift in a given year or endow the scholarship and award a portion of the gift. Donors are also permitted to select the academic course of study for the scholarship.
