SUNY ORANGE TO OFFER INTRODUCTORY MANDARIN CHINESE CLASS
Non-Credit Course to Introduce Language for Career Enrichment and Travel
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- SUNY Orange’s Continuing and Professional Education Department is offering an introductory Mandarin Chinese language class starting in mid-January at the College’s Middletown campus.
The non-credit course “Conversational Mandarin Chinese level 1” is designed for beginning learners, and focuses on spoken Chinese with discussions and multi-media presentations on culture and history, as well as an introduction to written Chinese. The goal of the course is to introduce Mandarin Chinese for career enrichment and travel.
Classes will run from Jan. 18 through March 29 and will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 310 of the Rowley Center for Science and Engineering. No prior knowledge of Chinese is required.
