LAURA ANGERAME WINS ACBSP TEACHING AWARD
SUNY Orange Business Professor Named Region I Recipient of Accrediting Agency’s Teaching Excellence Award
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – SUNY Orange business professor Laura (Terree) Angerame has been selected to receive the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs’ (ACBSP) 2017 Teaching Excellence Award for two-year college faculty from ACBSP Region 1 and will now be considered for the organization’s International Teaching Excellence Award to be announced in June.
Angerame, who was among a record-setting number of nominees, will accept her award during the association’s annual conference, planned for June 24-27 in Anaheim, Calif.
Presented with the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence last Spring, Angerame joined the SUNY Orange faculty in 1999. She serves as the co-advisor to the Newburgh Business Club and teaches an array of courses within the College’s business curriculum, including Personal Finance, Business Math, Introduction to Business, Business and Society, Business Statistics, Business Communications, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, and Career Planning.
She is a member of American Association of University Women, American Production and Inventory Control Society and the National Business Education Association. She has participated on a number of committees at the College, including chairing the Developmental Education Committee and serving on the Middle States Self-Study and Strategic Planning steering committees.
ACBSP currently has more than 700 members in 32 countries. Region 1 comprises colleges and universities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Canadian Provinces of Newfoundland & Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Quebec.
