ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM MENTORS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

PHOTO: Jim Bruyn works with students at the ACE Mentorship ProgramMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. –Jim Bruyn (center of photo at right), of Bruyn Designed, guides local high school students through a structural design challenge at SUNY Orange’s Rowley Center for Science and Engineering on the opening night of the College’s ACE Mentor Program of America program. Hosted by the College’s architectural technology program in partnership with Collier Construction and Bruyn Designed, the ACE Mentor Program offers high school students the opportunity to explore the fields of architecture, construction and engineering. The program will run throughout the spring and will include local practitioners like Bruyn (a 1999 graduate of SUNY Orange), along with the College’s architecture faculty and students, working with the high school students.

The next session will be held on March 14 at the Rowley Center.
