Fall Open House, Newburgh Campus Preview Day Highlight Busy November for SUNY Orange

PHOTO: Kaplan Hall on the Newburgh Campus of SUNY OrangeMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – SUNY Orange’s Admissions counselors will be hosting recruitment events at the Middletown and Newburgh campuses, as well as the Sarfatti Education Center in Port Jervis, throughout the month of November, offering prospective students ample opportunities to learn about the College and its programs.

SUNY Orange’s traditional Fall Admissions Open House will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 on the Middletown campus, while the informative Newburgh Campus Preview Day is planned for Friday, Nov. 9 with sessions at 1 and 3 p.m. Additionally, counselors will host a Criminal Justice Information Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 in Newburgh and a Computer Science and Technology Information Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Middletown. There will be a Health Professions Information Session at the Sarfatti Center, 150 Pike Street in Port Jervis, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

At each event, the College will provide information on its academic programs and student support services. High school students, adults looking to return to the classroom and any other interested prospective students are encouraged to attend in order to gather information about the College’s 40 academic degrees, as well as transfer and career possibilities students enjoy following graduation from SUNY Orange. Financial aid, scholarship guidelines and admissions information will be provided as well.

The College boasts one of the finest student transfer success rates in the State University of New York system and provides diverse educational opportunities to help students meet their goals. Students at SUNY Orange also enjoy many extra-curricular endeavors, and College representatives will have information regarding many of the programs, clubs and organizations available for students. SUNY Orange also operates a challenging academic Honors Program for highly motivated and talented students.

Campus tours will be provided during the Newburgh Campus Preview Day and the Fall Open House.

The Program Information Sessions for Criminal Justice (Newburgh campus), Computer Science and Technology (Middletown campus) and Health Professions (Sarfatti Education Center in Port Jervis) will provide attendees with information specific to those SUNY Orange degrees, along with support services and campus activities.
