Building a Better Community by Empowering Non Profits
The Institute for Nonprofit Leadership and Management was established to support organizations to excel and accomplish their mission. The Institute offers training resources and opportunities to all governmental agencies and non profit organizations in the Greater Hudson Valley.
We address the current challenges and procedures to:
- strategically plan organizational development
- apply solid business practices
- demonstrate exemplary fiscal management
- enhance funding capabilities
The Institute for Nonprofit Leadership and Management at SUNY Orange started in January 2005 and is a joint initiative of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation of Orange County, the Orange County Citizens Foundation, the Orange County Government and the Orange County United Way. It is administered through the Continuing and Professional Education Division of SUNY Orange and is located on the Middletown Campus at 115 South Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
The Institute for Non-profit Leadership and Management acknowledges that the need for well-run non profit organizations is one of the most pressing issues in the philanthropic community. Cuts in public funding are expected to continue and questions of integrity related to financial management are now commonplace.
Ultimately we strive to enhance the accomplishments of non profit organizations; which in turn improves the quality of life for the citizens of the community.
