All of these will require written planning forms.  They will be used as activities with the children at your field site.

1. Getting To Know You Activity
* Make sure the activity is age appropriate.
* Be sure the activity helps both the children and you learn each other�s name.
* Have fun!
2. Read Aloud
* Choose a book that is appropriate for your site.
* Read, read and reread the book.  
* Practice using expression. 
* Practice holding the book.  
* Plan out where and when you will make a statement or ask a question.
3. Flannel  Board
* Choose a book, story, poem or game that lends itself to using a flannel board.
* Create your own flannel board and flannel pieces.
Memorize your story, poem, etc� and practice!!!
4. Art Activity
* Choose an Art PreK Benchmark from the NYs PreK Learning Standards.
* Choose a media for the children to explore with.
* Choose a NEW method for the children to explore your chosen media.
* Make it DAP for the children at your site.
5. Music and Movement Activity
* Choose a Music PreK Benchmark from the NYs PreK Learning Standards.
* Choose music and/or instruments for the children to explore with.
* Plan an experience that is DAP for the children at your site.
6. Two Free Choice Plans
* Discuss with your cooperating teacher.
* Due dates are in the syllabus.
