S/he is enrolled in the Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education course in the Education Department at SUNY Orange. One of the requirements for this course is that each student completes from ten hours of directed observation related to a field assignment. We feel that �real� interaction with children, in their natural environment, provides a powerful insight for the student to apply theory to practice.

The student understands her/his responsibilities concerning this observation. Since respect for you and the child/classroom is of great importance, confidentiality outside of the college classroom will be expected of every student.
