Orange County FoodTEC, is a workforce and skills development Training and Education Center at SUNY Orange Community College. That supports the economic development of Orange County and its surrounding areas through workforce development opportunities to assist low-income job seekers and workers in obtaining and advancing in jobs that provide sustaining wages and benefits, primarily in the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors.

Courses & Training

FoodTEC is offering low cost online and on-site training in food safety, food manufacturing, front-of-house, and hospitality.

This is your chance to learn the skills you need to land your first job or get promoted to a higher-level job in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry. Help is available for students who need financial assistance or childcare.

Exciting Plans

FoodTEC is building a commercial kitchen, classroom space, greenhouse, and training event space to best serve its students.

In the future, FoodTEC will offer food industry certificate training, general workforce readiness training, mid- and upper-level management training, apprenticeships, entrepreneurial support and resources, and food-based community development.

Job Placement

FoodTEC partners with these local employers to place students in first time or better jobs based on the skills they’ve learned.
