Spring 2007 enrollment (headcount) is 6,063; this is a 4.4% increase over Spring 2006. Both fulltime and parttime enrollment increased in Spring 2007. . The AFTE for Spring 2007 (1920.2) increased 4.7% from Spring 2006 (1834.7). . The Newburgh Extension Center�s AFTE increased 11.7% from 227.3 in Spring 2006 to 253.8 in Spring 2007. . The Community College in the High School Program continued to see increased enrollment this spring (15.8%). . The retention rate from Fall 2006 to Spring 2007 is 68.8%; the retention rate from Fall 2005 to Spring 2006 was 68.2%; this is an increase of .6%. (Source: Registrar) . 61.2% of total students enrolled are female; this percentage is consistent with past years. . Continuing students account for 70.4% of the total students enrolled while 9.1% are first time students. . 31.6% of students enrolled in Spring 2007 are between the ages of 1819 years; 30.6% are between the ages of 2024 years. . Orange County residents account for 84.6% of total students enrolled with Sullivan residents at 5.6% and Ulster residents at 3.9%. . Enrollment in Developmental Studies increased 11.7% from Spring 2006 to 2007. . Programs with a 20% or greater increase in enrollment this spring include, Internet Systems & Applications (AAS), Dental Hygiene (AAS), Massage Therapy (AAS), PTA (AAS), Office Technologies (AAS), Visual Communication (AAS), Teaching Careers (AA), and Criminal Justice (AS).
