Virtual Fall Transfer Fair to be Held Nov. 11

October 20, 2020

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Representatives from at least 80 colleges and universities from throughout the Northeast will be available virtually from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11 to discuss their respective academic programs and transfer processes when SUNY Orange hosts its annual Fall Transfer Fair as an online event due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traditionally an in-person event, this year’s virtual fair is open to SUNY Orange students and members of the general community. Representatives from each college or university will be stationed in a breakout room from the main transfer fair session. To participate in the event and have access to all the virtual meeting rooms for those schools attending, visitors must register for the fair at https://sunyorange.edu/transfer/fair.html

Donations from visiting Colleges help support the Academic Advising Completion Scholarship, a fund that assists selected SUNY Orange students in the completion of their degree. SUNY Orange will also be raffling off four $25 Amazon e-gift cards to participants based on a selfie contest that the College will be launching soon. Details on the contest will be provided on the College’s Fall Transfer Fair site (at the link above).

To assure that its students enjoy smooth transition to four-year colleges and universities, and to establish a foundation for continued academic achievement, SUNY Orange maintains articulation (transfer) agreements with many academic institutions.

Such comprehensive agreements range from identifying selected courses that will transfer to outlining entire SUNY Orange degree programs that will allow graduates to enter four-year colleges or universities with full junior status. For more information on the Transfer Fair, contact the Academic Advising Office at (845) 341-4070. For specific information on SUNY Orange’s transfer agreements, contact the Office of Educational Partnerships at (845) 341-4760 or visit the College web site at www.sunyorange.edu
