SUNY Orange CLEP Credit Policy This is a list of CLEP (College Level Examination Program) tests that are accepted for credit at SUNY Orange. A minimum score of 50 on the multiple choice exam is required to earn credit for the exam. This list is presented in the following format: CLEP Exam Name SUNY Orange Course Number Course Title (Credit hours awarded) Note that students who pass certain exams (such as English literature) will earn credit for more than one course. * Exams marked with an asterisk are English exams with an optional essay. Students must complete and pass the essay portion of the exam in order to receive SUNY Orange English credit. The essay will be graded by SUNY Orange faculty. As such, final determination on granting credit is determined by our English department. Students must schedule the essay portion separately from the multiple choice portion of the exam. Please refer to our website at https://sunyorange.edu/testing/clep.html for more details. It is recommended that you wait to schedule the optional essay until after you have taken the multiple choice exam, however, you may choose to sit for both the multiple choice and optional essay on the same date. Please note: this list is only for students seeking CLEP credit for SUNY Orange courses. It does not reflect the credit granting policies of other institutions.
