ARTICULATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SUNY ORANGE AND MARIST COLLEGE This MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING entered this 26th day of May, 2009, between SUNY Orange, Associate of Science in Individual Studies Program, and Marist College, Paralegal Degree Program and Paralegal Certificate Program. WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the parties hereto are desirous to enter into an agreement for the purpose of articulating the SUNY Orange Associate of Science in Individual Studies Program with Marist College Paralegal Degree Program and Paralegal Certificate Program to minimize the repetition or duplication of time and effort of SUNY Orange students enrolling in Marist College, and thereby providing a cost/time-effective service to our students. THEREFORE, agree as follows: Effective May 26, 2009, the following conditions are acceptable to both parties. 1. The Department Chairs from Marist College and respective staff from SUNY Orange will review these articulations on a regular basis to evaluate, update, and expand them as needed. This agreement shall remain in effect unless either party requests in writing that it be rescinded or amended. 2. Marist College will make the final decision as to enrollment of any students; at which point the terms of this AGREEMENT will be put into effect. In order to receive credit at Marist College, SUNY Orange student transferring to Marist College must: a. Complete a minimum of 12 credits of upper-level credits in the major field b. Complete a minimum of 24 credits at Marist c. Earn at least a C grade in each course being transferred d. Have an overall GPA of 2.8 or above in order to enroll in the Paralegal Certificate Program. 3. Where credit is awarded by Marist College under terms of this AGREEMENT, it shall be counted and apply towards the minimum total credits required to attaining a specific and appropriate degree or certificate awarded by Marist College. a. 24 is the minimum number of credits to be taken at Marist College towards a Paralegal Certificate Program. b. 36 is the maximum accepted credits from SUNY Orange towards Marist's Paralegal Certificate Program. Within these 36 credits, 18 must be in general education courses. 4.
