Partnership Agreement Between St. Thomas Aquinas College & Orange County Community College The St. Thomas Aquinas College Dean of the School Business, Professor Michael Murphy, has completed a review of the Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration at SUNY Orange and determined the following appraisal of this outstanding program. SUNY Orange requires 63 credits for the program to be completed and St. Thomas Aquinas College will accept 60 credits. The only three that are not transferable are the one (1) credit physical education requirement by SUNY Orange. In all, 60 credits will be accepted by the college and the transferring student will start his/her first year at St. Thomas Aquinas College as a junior level student working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. The two colleges have a standing Articulation Agreement and that agreement governs any statements made in this agreement. STAC accepts all grades of D or higher for course equivalent credit as part of the AA/AS degree and grades of C- or higher for courses within the major. All SUNY Orange students who apply and are admitted to STAC will receive a guaranteed $2,000 scholarship if they enroll as full-time students. Additionally, all admitted transfers who achieve a 2.1 grade point average or higher are eligible for a Merit or Academic Award ranging from $5,000 to $11,000. Phi Theta Kappa members, who enroll full-time at STAC and who meet all other admission criteria will be awarded our half-tuition scholarship in place of the OCCC scholarship and merit/academic awards. In fall 2015 this scholarship, $14,370, will be awarded to students who have been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Soceity at SUNY Orange and who have maintained the GPA expected of a PTK Honor Student.
