Articulation Agreement between Orange County Community College, A.S. in Mathematics/ Natural Science, and the Sage College of Albany, B.S.Biology: DPT Objective This articulation agreement is intended to facilitate the transfer of qualified students currently enrolled in the A.S. Degree in Mathematics/ Natural Science program at Orange County Community College into the B.S. Biology: DPT program at the Sage College of Albany. Counselors at Orange County Community College can use the information in this agreement to advise current students as they express an interest in the B.S. Biology DPT program as to which Orange County Community College courses should be taken prior to application for transfer. Terms of Agreement This articulation agreement, once signed, will be effective immediately and must be reviewed and re-approved in the same mmmer at least once every two years hereafter, in order to remain in effect. The procedure of review and re-approval shall be as follows: The latest available catalogs of the two institutions are reviewed by the SCA Program Co-ordinator and the revised draft is prepared by the SCA Program Co-ordinator. A final draft is signed by the depmiment chairs ofboth institutions and by the appropriate administrator of both institutions. All of the most recently published rules for accepting transfer students into programs at SCA apply. The agreement supplements, but does not supercede or replace, what was written in the latest catalog. SCA agrees to accept and transfer into the B.S. program up to 66 credit hours earned by the student at Orange County Community College, who takes the courses listed below. Only courses of earned grades of C-or better will trm1sfer, and students who attain a combined Grade Point Average of3.0 in courses will automatically be admitted into the SCA Applied Biology program. The GP A requirements for entry into the B.S. Biology: DPT program are 3.25 overall and 3.25 in the science prerequisities. This agreement covers courses taken at Orange County Community College only. If students from OCCC have credits on their transcripts from other institutions, the published SCA rules for accepting transferred credit will apply to those credits. If students from Orange County Community College wish to transfer without having completed all of the courses in this agreement, they are assured that the identified equivalent courses with C- or better will transfer, but outright admission into the program will not be guaranteed. If admitted, junior status at SCA will be attained, if 54 or more of the credits are transferred. All transfer students must meet with a Biology advisor to plan their courses and to determine how many semesters are required for degree completion.
