PATHWAYS ARTICULATION AGREEMENT FOR THE TRANSFER OF STUDENTS FROM ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE INTO THE BACHELOR'S DEGREE PROGRAMS AT STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK EMPIRE STATE COLLEGE This Pathways articulation agreement assures that qualified students completing an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS) or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree (hereinafter referred to as associate degree) at Orange County Community College and who meet all admissions requirements are able to transfer to Empire State College. This agreement provides a seamless transition for graduates of Orange County Community College into an appropriate bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S., B.P.S.) at Empire State College. Terms of Agreement 1. Empire State College agrees, for those students who successfully complete an associate degree at Orange County Community College and meet Empire State College's admissions requirements, to accept the entire associate degree from Orange County Community College into a bachelor's degree. 2. Empire State College will accept the entire completed associate degree from Orange County Community College, including up to 80 lower-division credits, provided the courses meet bachelor's degree requirements. The remaining 48 upper-division credits will be completed at Empire State College. Empire State College will also work with OCCC to provide 1) pre-matriculation advisement, 2) outreach and training to faculty and transfer office staff at the community college to provide program information, 3) student information sessions. 3. Each college agrees to give the widest possible publicity to the establishment of this agreement such as inclusion of procedures and descriptions in catalogs, webpages, and bulletins of each school. This literature clearly specifies the persons or offices to contact at each institution. Orange County Community College agrees to advise interested students of the provisions of this agreement. In addition, advisors from Empire State College shall be available at appropriate times to explain educational opportunities available to students and provide transfer information. 4. This agreement becomes effective when all signatures are affixed and remains in effect for five years from that date (of last signature). The agreement may be amended or renewed by mutual agreement and will be formalized via revision of this agreement. Matters of concern that affect this articulation agreement should be brought to the attention of the Director of Collegewide Academic Review or the Dean of the Hudson Valley Center at Empire State College and to the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Orange County Community College for discussion and amendments.
