Lab School

The SUNY Orange Lab School programs provide a happy, healthy, and stimulating learning environment for all children. Each child is able to explore and learn through a variety of activities, including music and movement, creative art, story time, outdoor play, and child-directed, center-based readiness experiences.

SUNY Orange has moved into a new era of early childhood education by merging the childcare program with the curricula of the College (in several departments), forming new partnerships with the public schools and assigning leadership of the program under the college's Office of Academic Affairs.

The Lab School is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

Our Lab Schools are located in newly updated facilities on both the Middletown campus and the Newburgh campus of SUNY Orange.

We provide services for children ranging from:

  • Middletown: 6 weeks old through to the end of pre-school age.
  • Newburgh: 18 months to the end of pre-school age.

We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Please call the Lab School's for an opportunity to learn about, and see our sites. We look forward to hearing from you!
