Website Accessibility

The SUNY Orange web site strives to be in compliance with the Accessibility of Web-based Information and Applications policy, published by the New York State Office for Technology:

This policy statement requires compliance with Federal Section 508 standards. Specifically, it requires compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended 29 USC 794 (d), Subpart B, section 1194.22 and Subpart C, section 1194.31. This standard in turn requires compliance with WCAG 2.0 (A & AA) and WIA-ARIA 1.0 standards.

Most information that is made available on our web site is generally available in HTML. In some cases we may publish documents using Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF), or Microsoft Office in Word or Excel format. We also strive to provide those same documents in plain text format where possible.
