Nestled in the backwoods of Sullivan County is a hideaway designed for musicians and audio- engineers. The place is called The Outlier Inn ~ Retreat Recording. Its motto: “Rest, Relaxation and Rock & Roll.”
The proprietor/producer and chief tracking/mix engineer is Josh Druckman, a graduate of the Computer Music Center of Columbia College at Columbia University. He realized through his many years of experience that in order to produce great sound in a recording it is necessary to use superior quality equipment. In addition, removing oneself from everyday stress and going to a location that is quite the opposite can offer just the right combination for inspiration. In the “natural setting, the spirit of sharing unique sonic experiences produces sensory memories.”

On Friday, March 26, 2021 starting at 11am, Druckman will transport attendees virtually to his recording haven. Join this zoom session Analog Recording in A Digital Era HERE.

During this music master class, Druckman will explain, discuss, and demonstrate how traditional recording techniques and vintage, analog equipment can be applied in a modern recording setting. Come and take advantage of this fascinating learning opportunity which is free and open to the public.

After graduating from college for 20+ years hence, Josh Druckman had the life experience of making records with artists Blonde Redhead, Luke Temple, Guerilla Toss, and Kunzite. He also
traveled the world playing electronic music as a producer and DJ.
