September is National Recovery Month. To mark this occasion the Wellness Center is hosting a virtual Q&A, Breaking the Addiction Stigma, on Tuesday, September 28 at 11 am via Zoom.

Stigma around addiction may come from old and inaccurate ideas, or fear of things that are different or misunderstood. Today, we know that addiction is a chronic, treatable medical condition. We also know that people can recover and continue to lead healthy lives.

Please join Susan Corbett, RN, CASAC and Maureen Flaherty, LMHC for this inspiring discussion. We will also provide a list of local resources. Brochures on addiction and recovery will be available outside the Wellness Center in the Shepard Student Center. 

This event is FREE and open to the entire campus community.
