The Great American Smokeout is an annual event held on the third Thursday in November to encourage smokers to commit to not smoking for just this one day. The hope is that they will continue not to smoke the next day, or the day after that, or the day after that... You get it.

This year, the event falls on November 17^th. On November 16^th a representative from the Orange County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council will be on the Middletown campus to speak to anyone interested in quitting smoking, vaping, or tobacco products. Stop by their info table from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. in the Rowley Center for Science and Engineering, 1st-floor lobby. They will provide information and advice on how to have a successful Smokeout.
