Line of Thought - Solo Exhibit by Naomi Berkery
Saturday, 17 June, 2023
8:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The new show scheduled in the Mindy Ross Gallery June 12 through July 25 is a solo exhibit by Naomi Berkery entitled Line of Thought.
Within each work is a line drawing on which is built “a moment, a conversation, a thought, a feeling, a reaction, a fantasy, a recollection” states Berkery. The works demonstrate the confluence of the varied concepts of Street Art and Graffiti, Surrealism and Neo-Expressionism amidst the “fusion of city meets nature … in the Hudson Valley.”
The artist enjoys the materials, texture, and imagery afforded to a mixed media painter. She chooses “bold, vibrant colors” that are “at times overpowering.”
A reception will be held on last Saturday, June 24th from 3 to 5pm. Music will be provided by classical guitarist Joy Zelada.
The Mindy Ross Gallery is situated within Kaplan Hall at SUNY Orange, GPS: 73 First St, Newburgh, where free parking is available in the college garage.
