To complement the solo show Bruce R. Bleach  ~ a Retrospective:  Fifty-four Years and Counting which is on view in Orange Hall Gallery, the artist is offering a master class on November 8, 2023 from 5:15 to 7:45pm.

Printmaking with Bruce Bleach: Monotype ~ an art master class is free and open to the public and will be set up in Orange Hall Gallery in the middle of the exhibit. Bleach is a master printmaker who enjoys printmaking using various techniques. In this master class, he will explain basic printmaking and the necessary tools, paper, and inks. He will assist participants in creating their own monotypes which they may take home.

A monotype is considered one-of-a-kind and does not employ repeatable elements. At this master class, when making a monotype, printing inks will be applied to a flat, smooth, non-absorbent surface. The image will then transferred onto etching paper by pressing the two together, using a brayer and a printing-press.

Art materials will be provided. Attendees may bring their own tools for mark making which adds texture. Also, attendees should prepare for a messy experience and pack smocks, aprons, hand cleaner. Be ready for an adventure in art!
