Knowing your HIV status can help keep you"and others"safe.
A positive test can allow you to take steps to protect your health. There is no cure for HIV, but you can control it with HIV treatment. Medications are available to reduce symptoms and reduce your risk of transmitting infections to your partner.
People who test negative for HIV can make decisions about sex, drug use, and health care that can help prevent infection. Taking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is highly effective for preventing HIV.
How Often Should I Test?
The CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 should get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care. People who are sexually active and/or engage in drug use should be tested more often.
Knowing your status can be freeing! Schedule your test today.
