Mental Health is a major concern for college students.

According to a recent survey:

• The majority of students (more than 60 percent) meet the criteria for at least one mental health problem�"a nearly 50 percent increase since 2013, according to the Healthy Minds survey.
• Specifically, 44 percent of students reported symptoms of depression; 37 percent said they experienced anxiety; and 15 percent said they were considering suicide�"the highest rate in the 15-year history of the survey.
• More than 90,000 students across 133 U.S. campuses participated in the survey.

Let’s Chalk About Mental Health with Wellness Center staff, from 11 am to 1 pm outside the Rowley Center (rain location: first floor lobby in Rowley).

You are invited to share your thoughts, hope, and encouragement in chalk on the pavement outside the building.

Our chalk events are popular and the pavement fills up quickly with colorful messages of support.

Resources on mental health awareness and support will be available.
