All Day
The Mindy Ross Gallery is the venue for a new show entitled Fragments of Reality. Five young local artists are showing their works which have been created in various media such as acrylic paint, oil pastels, digital photography, digital illustration, and sculpture.
Their energy and enthusiasm are instilled in their works. These artists, ranging in age from 22 to 29, are active in their pursuits of creativity: Jamarri “ARRI” Chambers,
Khalidah Carrington, Uriel Ramirez, Quinn Torres, and Kiara White who also is doubling as the show’s curator.
On Saturday, January 25, a reception welcomes guests and the general public from 5 to 7pm to meet the artists and visit with friends and connect with new folks. During the art reception, jazz pianist Darius Beckford will play jazz standards as well as his own compositions of contemporary music.
The gallery is bright and inviting and is open for viewing the art Monday through Thursday 8am to 9pm and on Fridays 8am to 6pm. The exhibit is on view January 13 through February 20, 2025.
The show and reception are free and open to the public.
The gallery is located in Kaplan Hall at 73 First St, Newburgh where the college garage opens for free, secure parking. Questions? Please consult Cultural Affairs: cultural@sunyorange.edu
