SUNY Orange is elated to announce that we have been the source of FIVE bone marrow donor matches since November 2022--an astonishing number! Let's keep the streak going!

The Gift of Life Marrow Registry is a nonprofit organization established in 1991. It is dedicated to saving lives by facilitating blood stem cell and bone marrow transplants for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood-related diseases. 

Staff from The Gift of Life will be set up at SUNY Orange on two dates in the month of March:

--In the lobby of the Kaplan building on the Newburgh Campus on Tuesday, March 4th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

--On the first floor of the Rowley building on the Middletown Campus on Wednesday, March 26th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you are interested in signing up to be a potential marrow donor, you simply swab the inside of your cheeks and complete a registration form on your phone. The process is painless and takes just minutes! Ideal candidates are between 18 to 35 years old, but everyone is welcome. The more registered donors, the more likely it is that someone in need can find a match. Please take 5 minutes and stop by and get swabbed!
