The ordering and installation of printer toner cartidges are now being handled by
the IT Department.
You no longer have to fill out a Purchase Requisition for the Business Office.
This new procedure & form below applies to laser printers only. The toners for Toshiba copiers will still be handled by our Toshiba contract and
the process remains the same by calling the toll free number on the unit's sticker.

Once the toner is delivered and received by the IT Department, a new work order to install the toner will be created on your behalf. The IT department will make reasonable effort to install the cartridge within two business days. If the old toner is not ready to be replaced (too much toner remains), the toner will be brought back to the IT Department and will be especially reserved for that printer.
When you feel that the toner is ready for replacement, please contact us and we will send someone to replace the toner. We will be happy to show you how you can check the toner level which can be done on most printers.
The IT Department will handle the installation of the cartidges in order to:
- collect data about the printer, toner, and page counts
- examine how many pages are printed with each toner
- adjust our process as needed to further improve our effectiveness
Looking forward, we will be moving toward checking the toner levels remotely and replacing the toners in many cases without you having to initiate a request.
