LSAMP
What is LSAMP?
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program is a National Science Foundation program designed to increase the number of historically underrepresented minorities (African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American or Alaskan Native or Pacific Islander) who pursue careers in the STEM fields. Applicants must be either citizens or permanent residents of the United States. The LSAMP program supports students who are interested in pursuing scientific research and/or who intend to pursue studies in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Student who are majoring in nursing, medical laboratory technology, or dental hygiene cannot be funded by LSAMP, but may be eligible for CSTEP.

Eligibility
- Full-time SUNY Orange Student
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Member of underrepresented group (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, Pacific Islander).
- Pursuing any STEM-related field (science, technology, engineering or math).
- Interested in pursuing scientific research
- Able to participate in LSAMP activities
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
