SUNY Orange students and employees joined others from across the United States and around the world in a Walk for the Climate on Friday, Sept. 20. The event, which drew more than 50 participants over its four-hour time span, was intended to commemorate a global day of climate action, raise awareness of climate issues and encourage planet-positive lifestyles. The peaceful walk held on the College’s Middletown campus was organized by Kirsten Gabrielsen, SUNY Orange sustainability coordinator, and was open to students, employees and interested members of the community.
