Reconnect Information Event to be held Nov. 12

October 29, 2025

For adult students considering returning to the classroom to take advantage of the new “tuition free” SUNY Reconnect program for those ages 25 to 55, SUNY Orange will host a SUNY Reconnect information session from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12 in Kaplan Hall on the College’s Newburgh campus.

This event is for adults who have some college credits and want to complete their degree. Attendees will learn about SUNY’s new Reconnect initiative at SUNY Orange, which provides financial assistance and support for adult students. SUNY Reconnect covers tuition, fees, books and supplies after other aid is applied and is not retroactive to past terms. The event will include information on the College’s 15 academic degree programs in which students can qualify for SUNY Reconnect, eligibility criteria, the application process and more.

Participants will hear from SUNY Orange admissions counselors and student services staff about the application  process and how to apply for financial aid. Tours of the beautiful Newburgh campus will also be available, allowing prospective students to explore SUNY Orange’s state-of-the-art facilities.

The event will be held in the Orange Bank and Trust Great Room. Kaplan Hall is located at Grand and First streets. Parking is available in the Kaplan Hall Parking Garage, accessible via First Street across from Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Registration is required. Interested individuals can register online at: https://sunyorange.edu/admissions/visit.html.
