Criminal Justice Department
- Are you interested in law enforcement, corrections, criminology, criminal law or private security?
- Do you want an internship experience that will enhance your understanding of the criminal justice system?
- Would you like to attend the same program that many local law enforcement officers and police chiefs have?
If your answer to any of these questions is yes, you should strongly consider taking a closer look at what the SUNY Orange Department of Criminal Justice has to offer.
At SUNY Orange, we offer two distinct criminal justice degree programs: the Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice and the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice/Police.
These programs help prepare students to transfer to four-year colleges and also prepare
them to enter the workforce directly, for careers in the courts, corrections, law
enforcement, private security and more.
A Certificate Program in Law Enforcement/Security is also available. This program is designed for students who are interested in a
career in law enforcement or private security and who do not wish to pursue an associates
degree at this time. (Gainful Employment Disclosure)
The Criminal Justice Club, offered at both the Newburgh and Middletown campuses, allows
students to expand and enhance their educational program by socializing with other
criminal justice majors.
I never imagined when I enrolled in the SUNY Orange Criminal Justice Program that it would lead me to a successful 30 year career in law enforcement ”
