COVID-19 Testing Data Updates

The College began pooled testing for COVID-19 on Monday, Oct. 5 for those students who are involved in on-campus, in-person academic instruction. Testing, which has been ordered by the State University of New York (SUNY), is mandatory for students who are coming to either of our campuses for applied learning labs and courses. Testing will not be available to students with fully remote schedules for the Fall 2020 semester.

Testing will occur at establsihed times on Modays and Thursdays on the Newburgh campus, while testing will be conducted Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Middletown campus.

New York State Higher Education Threshold Measure

State guidance indicates that SUNY Orange would be required to move to full distance learning for 14 days should its total number of positive cases reach 44 over a prescribed two-week period.
