Guidance on Masks and Face Coverings

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an Executive Order requiring all people in New York to wear a mask or a face covering when out in public and in situations where social distancing cannot be maintained.

Employees, students and community members who are required to report to either of SUNY Orange’s campuses will be expected to abide by this executive order. Only those employees that have been contacted by their supervisors should report to campus. Should you have a need to come to campus you should contact your supervisor to coordinate the visit.

Cover your mouth AND nose with a mask - CDC graphicWhen on a SUNY Orange campus, all students, employees and visitors are required to wear a mask or face covering over nose and mouth when inside buildings and outdoors when social distancing is not possible.

The Security offices at both campuses have a supply of masks. Should you need a mask while on campus, one can be acquired by contacting the Middletown campus Security office at 341-4710 or Newburgh campus Security at 341-9510.

We ask that you please call Security in advance to request a mask. This will allow Security personnel to plan for your arrival and to establish proper social distancing guidelines for exchanging the mask.

Even while wearing masks or face coverings, social distancing rules still apply.
