Welcome to the Center for Teaching & Learning. The CTL serves as a resource center for  exploring, promoting, and supporting excellence in teaching and learning. We provide access to pedagogical best practices, innovative technologies, and campus collaborations for facutly and staff with the goal of enhancing the student experience.

Staff/Faculty: Access CTL information by visiting the Employee or Faculty tabs within MySUNYOrange.

Workshops and Training Sessions

Each semester the CTL provides a wide array of sessions geared towards the needs of faculty and staff. Our sessions range from the latest pedagogical trainings to technology trainings. Our goal is to provide the most sought-after professional development information needed in higher education.

Our yearly schedule of events is based on the information provided to the CTL through regular surveys of faculty and staff and our sessions are open to ALL faculty and staff at the college. The CTL provides a session certificate to all attendees of our trainings. Please see our upcoming sessions on the Calendar of Events button located to the left of the home page screen.

Multi-Media Services

Multimedia Services

The CTL offers many content creation services including Green Screen video, audio recording and animated graphics. Add rich multimedia content to your courses to supplement student learning in and out of the classroom. Providing video/audio content in an online course is also a great way to increase interactivity with students. Content can be distributed via the Ensemble streaming server so students always have access to material. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can incorporate multimedia into your courses, please fill out our Video Request Form button on the left side of the CTL page.

Faculty Sharing Sessions

Towards the end of each semester the CTL offers a “Faculty Sharing Session” where all faculty are invited to demonstrate or discuss a successful teaching and learning practice they have utilized in their face-to-face, hybrid or online course. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about tried and tested teaching techniques that may be worth considering for your courses. It’s an opportunity to share and demonstrate what you do best, or to come and hear about what has worked for your colleagues. Look for upcoming sessions on our Event Calendar.
