Orange County Food Training and Education Center (FoodTEC) is a workforce and skills development training and education center located at SUNY Orange on the Newburgh campus.
FoodTEC is a hub for preparing individuals in the region’s food & beverage, hospitality & tourism, and environmental health and food safety workforce. It provides industry-recognized training and certifications for a wide range of industry occupations and creates career and educational pathways.
The mission of FoodTEC is to provide and support workforce development and job training opportunities, certification, and internships to assist job seekers and workers in obtaining and advancing in jobs that provide sustaining wages and benefits while supporting the economic development of Orange County and its surrounding areas.

ServSafe Alcohol Course
Responsible alcohol service training for servers is not mandated in New York State; however, the NYS Liquor Authority recommends that all licensees and employees who serve or sell alcoholic beverages take an Alcohol Training Awareness Program.
Our ServSafe Alcohol course ensures your front-of-house staff can serve alcohol responsibly. The ServSafe Alcohol NY course and exam is an approved Alcohol Training Awareness Program (ATAP) by the NYS Liquor Authority.
