In addition to a variety of events, fundraisers, walks, and educational talks, SAGA holds the college's annual Lavender Graduation to recognize and celebrate the achievements of and contributions to the college by our LGBTQ+ students, and acknowledge that they’ve successfully completed their time at SUNY Orange, a huge step in their academic journeys. Lavender Graduation is open to all graduating LGBTQ+ students and allies at SUNY Orange, and we specifically recognize the students of SAGA who have worked to better their environment and the college community for the students that will come after them.

The first Lavender Graduation at SUNY Orange was in 2019, at the urging of the students in that year's SAGA group; we had an online ceremony in 2021, and were back on campus in 2022. We look forward to honoring our students in person this year and in future years!
