In a time of drastic change and uncertainty there are a lot of new buzz terms popping up.  One of those terms is, “new normal.”  While we are all getting used to many of our new normals, today we are going to celebrate a regular old normal.  One thing that can be counted on year after year is SUNY Orange athlete’s succeeding in the classroom.  Despite facing tremendous hurdles and hardships (like everyone has these days), dozens of student/athletes at Orange have earned a spot on the SUNY Orange Athletics Academic Honor Roll.  These students excel in the classroom while also putting in numerous hours preparing for their sport and many of them also holding down jobs.  Our Spring sport athletes in softball, baseball, and golf all put in full time off season work only to have their seasons cancelled right as games were starting.  To be able to refocus from that disappointment to nailing their grades is a testament to their mental toughness.  Congratulations to the following student/athletes for your outstanding academic work and being named to the Orange Athletics Academic Honor Roll; Soccer:  Jager Berkley, Cristian Bolanos, Enrique Contreras-Nava, Jerry Hendershot, Daniel Rosendo, Daniel Tricomi, Shadeed Trujillo, Jackson Fedro, Matthew Tricomi; Volleyball: Alasia Ashley, Emily Deserto, Tatiana Paulino, Sophia Smith; Cross Country:  David Soto, Adam St. Germain, Florence Ruckdeschel; Men’s Basketball:  Jake Izzo, Colby McFarlane, Brendan O’Leary, Jalen Ricks; Women’s Basketball:  Candace McCutcheon, Joy Miladinovich, Julianna Noone; Baseball:  Noah Reyes, Lucas Rodriguez, Mike Cron, Shawn Sawyer, Colin Marco, Daniel Lusignan, Eli Bontrager; Softball:  Emily Ganci, Faith Faber, Catherine Canfield, Sarah Haglund, Denali Ennis; Golf:  Thomas Hagan, Dylan Raggio, Jager Berkley.
