Internship/Community Service Developer |
From Iman: "Internships provide a perfect opportunity to reap the benefits of Applied Learning. Students gain a deeper understanding of the concepts they have studied through “real world” application. In addition to resume enhancing experience, students completing an internship may earn course credit and, in some cases, even be paid. My goal is to guide students to the best internship opportunities, where they can gain confidence in their chosen fields and get a jump start on meaningful careers. |
Assistant Director |
From Don: "I know first-hand how valuable a Career & Internship Services office can be to a young adult looking to get on a career track. One of my own children graduated from a good four-year school with two Bachelor's degrees and couldn't find any work in his field. Somewhat in desperation, he went back to the Career Services office at his college and they ended up getting him a three month internship. That was about six years ago. They kept extending the internship and increasing his responsibilities and eventually hired him full time. He's still there." |
