Eligibility
Am I eligible to be an ASAP Student?
New, transfer, returning, and continuing students who meet the criteria below are eligible to apply for the SUNY Orange ASAP Program:
- Be accepted as a SUNY Orange student (please review our Admissions page to apply)
- Be a New York State resident or qualify for in-state tuition
- Applied for both federal (FAFSA) and state (TAP) financial aid or the Dream Act application
- Are PELL-grant eligible and have received at least a $1 award
- Enroll and maintain a full-time student status (12 or more credit hours) each semester
- Enroll in one of the following ASAP degree programs at SUNY Orange:
- Have previously earned no more than 21 credits (exclusing credits earned in high school) from another accredited college or university
- Have a minimum of 2.0GPA (incoming high-school students must have a high-school average of 80 or above)
*To maximize opportunity for all students to receive supports and services, please note that you cannot participate in the Educational Opportunities Program (EOP), TRiO, and ASAP at SUNY Orange.
