Student Responsibilities
Once accepted in the program, students will:
- Enroll as a full time student each semester (between 12 to 16 credits, Fall/Spring).
- Maintain good academic standing (have a 2.0GPA or above).
- Complete required developmental courses within your first year of participation.
- Use college support services & resources.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application each year to remain eligible or apply under the Dream Act to receive state aid, including TAP, Excelsior, and other state-administered scholarships.
- Meet with and maintain contact with your Success Coach monthly.
- Intend to graduate from SUNY Orange within three years.
How Do I Become a SUNY Orange ASAP Student?
- Be a current student or apply to SUNY Orange.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application or Dream Act.
