Eligibility
Am I eligible to be an ASAP student?
All interested students must meet the criteria below to be eligible for the SUNY Orange ASAP program,
- Be a New York State resident or qualify for in-state tuition;
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application, or the Dream Act application, and receive at least $1 of federal Pell or NYS grant aid (TAP or Excelsior)*;
- Enroll in and maintain a full-time student status (12 or more credits) each fall and spring semester;
- Enroll in one of the following ASAP-approved degree programs:
*Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA using this link. Students may also reach out to ASAP staff to learn more about their options to apply for NYS aid.

Please Note:
- To maximize opportunity for all students to receive supports and services, please note that you cannot participate in the Educational Opportunities Program (EOP), and ASAP at SUNY Orange.
- If you are transfering from another SUNY institution and are a member of an ASAP | ACE program, you are able to transfer your participation to ASAP at SUNY Orange! Please reach out to ASAP Staff directly for more information.
