Eligibility

Am I eligible to be an ASAP student?

All interested students must meet the criteria below to be eligible for the SUNY Orange ASAP program,

Accounting (A.S.) Criminal Justice (A.S.) Jointly Registered Teacher Education Program
Accounting (A.A.S.) Criminal Justice (Police, A.A.S.) Liberal Arts: Humanities & Social Sciences
Architectural Technology Cyber Security Liberal Arts: Mathematics & Science
Business Administration Early Childhood Development and Care New Media
Business Management Engineering Science Visual Communications: Graphic Arts and Printing
CIT Networking Healthcare Administration Web Development
Computer Science Human Services  

*Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA using this link. Students may also reach out to ASAP staff to learn more about their options to apply for NYS aid.

 

In addition to the above, new or transfer students must... In addition to the above, continuing students must...
  • Have not earned more than 21 credits at SUNY Orange or another accredited college/university (excluding credits earned in high school); and
  • Have not earned more than 21 credits at SUNY Orange or another accredited college/university (excluding credits earned in high school); and
  • Be accepted as a SUNY Orange student (please review our Admissions page to apply)
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher

Please Note:

  • To maximize opportunity for all students to receive supports and services, please note that you cannot participate in the Educational Opportunities Program (EOP), and ASAP at SUNY Orange.
  • If you are transfering from another SUNY institution and are a member of an ASAP | ACE program, you are able to transfer your participation to ASAP at SUNY Orange! Please reach out to ASAP Staff directly for more information.
