About Coach Daryl Williams

Coach Williams, a distinguished SUNY Orange alum, boasts a remarkable journey from student-athlete to mentor. Having honed his skills on the golf course for the Colts during his formative years, he subsequently ventured to Division II Dominican University on a golf scholarship. Here, he not only continued to excel in golf but also earned his B.A. in Social Sciences with focuses on Political Science and U.S. History.  At Dominican, Coach Williams embodied the perfect blend of sportsmanship and academic dedication.

Now embarking on his sixth year at the helm of the Orange golf team, Coach Williams brings a wealth of experience and expertise. In his tenure as coach, his guidance and mentorship have led to the elevation of numerous exceptional golfers to the prestigious all-conference ranks, a team Mid- Hudson Conference Championship and two NJCAA National Tournament qualifiers.  The team’s success is a testament to his commitment to nurturing talent and fostering excellence.

Beyond his involvement in the realm of golf, Daryl has also lent his coaching prowess to high school football. This multifaceted coaching background underscores his passion for developing athletes both on and off the field, creating a well-rounded approach to sports education that extends beyond the confines of a single sport.
