Dietician Assistant Workforce Training- ONLINE
Unlock your future in the exciting world of food and nutrition with our workforce program designed to equip participants with the entry-level skills for a Dietitian Assistant working in healthcare food service. Experience an immersive, hands-on training curriculum that covers everything you need to know, including career readiness, specific job skill development, and paid internship opportunities.
Participants will gain specific-job training and earn 5 industry-recognized certifications, that will qualify you for the Dietitian Assistant position at one of our participating healthcare facilities.

THIS IS A 15-WEEK ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAM.
YOU MUST ATTEND ALL WEEKS.
OCCC Plus FoodTEC Program Standards:
- Students must be interviewed and accepted before registering for the FoodTEC program, with scores determined by a rubric-based system.
- Students must meet the program & internship standards, including physical requirements, to participate in the program.
- FoodTEC’s Training & Education Center is an accessible facility. Accommodations are available through the SUNY Orange Office of Accessibility for participants in the program.
Spring Session:
Start date: January 13, 2026
End date: March 26, 2025
Internship: April 6 - May 15th, 2025 (IN-PERSON)
Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 6 pm - 9 pm
Cost: $4500 per person

ServSafe Food Handlers Course
FoodTEC Food Handler Course is a comprehensive solution that provides students and food service workers with consistent food safety training in 15 weeks. Whether you are an employee seeking your Food Handler Card or an operation seeking a compliant solution for your employees, the FoodTEC Food Handler course is your training solution.
Students will embark on a 15-week course and then take the ServSafe® Food Handler Assessment to earn a food handler credential.
