Adjunct Faculty Benefits
Being an adjunct at SUNY Orange has a few benefits:
- As an adjunct faculty member you are entitled to take 2 credit bearing courses per academic year free of charge.
- Your eligible dependents may receive reduced tuition (prorated relative to employment status) to attend as a matriculated student at SUNY Orange.
- You and your eligible dependents may attend 1 non-credit bearing class (up to $100) offered through Workforce Development (formerly CAPE) per academic year.
- Attend all professional development sponsored by the Human Resources Department. These include courses offered through Workforce Development.
- Use of the LRC (Learning Resource Center).
- Use of our Physical Education facilities.
- Discounts to college sponsored cultural events.

A minimum of 8 semesters of experience teaching in the current rank at SUNY Orange is required before an adjunct can be eligible for promotion to the next rank. The required number of semesters need not be consecutive, but summers are not eligible.
