Degree Works
What is Degree Works?
- A web-based tool that will provide a clear and convenient method for students and advisors to track degree progress, to prepare for registration, and to plan for degree completion.
How to access Degree Works
- Sign into MySUNYOrange
- Click on the Degree Works link on the right-hand side of the page
There are instructional videos located in the Student Academics tab of MySUNY Orange (Registration box).
Additional Features
What-If Analysis
If a student is planning to change their major, they can view which courses would be required and where completed coursework may apply in the proposed major. To access:
- Click the "What-If" link above the "Degree progress" bar.
- Select a catalog year and major.
- Click Process.
Students may also use the What-If Analysis to view where planned coursework would apply in their current or proposed major. To access:
- Click the "What-If" link above the "Degree progress" bar.
- If the student is not changing their major, check the "Use current curriculum box." If the student is looking to change their major, select a catalog year and major.
- In the "Future classes" area, enter the subject and course number(s) of the planned course(s) (e.g. MAT 121).
- Click Process.
GPA Calculator
Degree Works includes several GPA calculators. To access, click the three dots next to the print icon (top right-hand corner of the page) and click GPA Calculator. Three different calculators are available for a variety of situations.
