Hello!
My name is Daphnee Labidou, and I am honored to serve as the Director of TRIO Student Support Services at SUNY Orange. I am deeply committed to student success, equity, and creating pathways that help students thrive academically, personally, and professionally. My passion for education and community development has guided my entire career, and I am excited to bring that experience to our TRIO family.
I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and am currently completing my Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at Marymount University, where my research focuses on leadership communication, active listening, storytelling, and employee well-being. I previously have worked across federal, state, and city government sectors, gaining extensive experience in public administration, financial compliance, and program oversight. My background includes managing community development initiatives, coordinating federally funded projects, and providing analytical support in areas such as budgeting, tax compliance, and financial services. These roles strengthened my expertise in navigating complex systems, ensuring accountability, and creating opportunities that directly benefit communities.
My approach to leadership is rooted in purpose, compassion, and possibility. I believe in creating environments where students feel seen, heard, and valued, and where barriers become opportunities for growth. I am a strong advocate for mindset development, intentional goal setting, and what I call “strategic optimism” a professional way of saying that I believe in manifestation through disciplined action. My belief is that when people are supported holistically by mind, spirit, and environment they flourish.
When I’m not working with students, you can usually find me planning group vacations, journaling (I’m a proud super journal girl), exploring creative projects, or braiding hair, a craft that connects me to culture, community, and creativity. I love helping others express themselves and take pride in creating spaces that feel supportive, motivating, and empowering.
I am excited to begin this journey with TRIO SSS and help our students navigate their goals, celebrate their wins, and build the confidence and skills they need for lifelong success. Let’s grow, learn, and elevate together.
Stop by and say hi, I can’t wait to meet you and support your TRIO journey!

Hello!
My name is Jess Schreiner and I am the Success Coach for the TRiO SSS program here
at SUNY Orange. As a Success Coach, my goal is to help students succeed with achieving
their goals and successfully handle their stressors and give them tools to use both
academically as well as in the real world. I am excited to make an impact with these
students through TRiO!
A little about myself. I was born and raised in Goshen, NY and then resided in Hartford
County, Connecticut for seven years before moving back to Goshen in 2021 - so I am
very familiar with the area and Orange County. I have my Bachelors of Music in Music
History - Performance Practices Emphasis (Clarinet) from the University of Hartford
- The Hartt School. I graduated from the same school with my Masters in Music History
- Scholarship and Research Emphasis. At the University of Hartford I worked various
positions from Ensemble Manger, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, and Teaching Fellow. I
taught Introduction to Music to nonmusicians.
When I am not working with students of all ages and abilities, you can normally find me playing one of my various clarinets. I am currently a member of the SUNY Orange Community Orchestra on Bass Clarinet.
