2025 Commencement Moved Indoors

Due to the forecast for inclement weather tomorrow (Thursday, May 22), SUNY Orange’s 2025 Commencement ceremony will be moved indoors to the Physical Education Center on the Middletown campus. The start time remains 10 a.m.

With the move, all guests will need to present a ticket in order to gain entrance to the Physical Education Center. Each graduate has been allotted four (4) tickets due to limited seating in the gymnasium.

With the move indoors, please review the following updated information:

• Graduates: You should report directly to the Physical Education Center where you will be pointed to the proper location where graduates will be assembling. Remember that you should arrive with your cap and gown, name card and photography card. Plan to arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. and no earlier than 9:15 a.m.
• Employees: Faculty and staff will also report directly to the Physical Education Center and assemble in the lower level of the building.
• Guests: Tickets will be required to gain entry. While outside temperatures will be quite cool, it is possible the gymnasium will be warmer, so please plan accordingly.
• Event Streaming: Thursday’s Commencement will be streamed online. On-campus viewing locations have been established in the Rowley Center and Harriman Hall, however these sites have limited seating. Those requiring accessible access should plan to go to the Rowley locations (Room 010, Room 110 and Room 112). Harriman Hall Room 111 is the other on-campus location.
