Catherine (Kate) O’Callaghan is an assistant professor in the Department of English at SUNY Orange. She is also a proud graduate of SUNY Orange. After leaving SUNY Orange, she went on to earn a BA and MA from SUNY New Paltz, where she studied English Literature.
Ms. O’Callaghan has worked at SUNY Orange since 2008, where she began as a professional tutor. She worked as an adjunct instructor from 2013 until 2019 when she became a full-time instructor. She teaches 14th to 18th century British literature, 19th-Early 20th century British literature, Women Writers, and Freshman composition courses. She has also taught as part of the Honors Program and has served as a Capstone and SOARS mentor. She is currently the Faculty Association secretary and is honored to serve as a member of the Scholarship Committee and Student Success Committee.
Ms O’Callaghan is currently working on an Ed.M. in English Education Studies degree through the University at Buffalo.
